Students from the Department of Recreation at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Istanbul Gelişim University, achieved a significant academic milestone under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program.

Four different student research projects developed within our faculty were selected for funding by TÜBİTAK, marking a significant achievement for scientific output and the culture of research.

 

The projects that received funding are as follows:

 

“Examining the Effect of a Sports-Based Support Program on the Psychological Well-Being of Women Who Are Victims of Violence”

“The Effect of a Breathing Exercise-Based Psychological Preparation Program on Self-Control, Focus, and Performance Levels in 14- to 16-Year-Old Tennis Players”

“The Effect of an 8-Week Desk-Based Exercise Program on Neck and Shoulder Pain, Postural Awareness, and Academic Motivation Among University Students”

“The Effect of Digital Recreation Participation on Self-Control, Digital Health Literacy, and Quality of Life Among Middle School Students”

Dr. Mahmut Ulukan served as the advisor for these projects, while our students Sedef Sarı, Beren Ünal, Merve Karanfil, and Esmagül Gülsun acted as researchers and project leaders.

 

Our faculty, which supports a culture of scientific research and encourages students to develop projects, continues to add new achievements to its academic record every day.
