Strong Participation from the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University at the 17th National Sports Sciences Student Congress
The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University participated in large numbers—with both faculty members and students—in the 17th National Sports Sciences Student Congress, hosted by Yozgat Bozok University from May 12–14, 2025.
A total of 18 scientific papers were presented on behalf of our faculty at the congress, once again demonstrating our academic productivity and scientific contributions in the field of sports sciences. Prof. Dr. Ali Kızılet, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University; Dr. Mehmet Aydoğan, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for People with Disabilities; Fikret Kayhalak, Research Assistant in the Department of Recreation; and faculty students actively participated in the conference.
Within the scope of the conference, studies conducted in a wide range of fields—including recreation, exercise and sports psychology, bibliometric analyses, sports for people with disabilities, academic behaviors, mobile learning, swimming performance, and AI-supported sports analyses—were shared with the scientific community.
In particular, the students’ active participation in scientific research processes and their acquisition of academic presentation experience were among the conference’s key outcomes. The studies conducted by our faculty members contributed to the students’ scientific development while also supporting the strengthening of an interdisciplinary perspective in the field of sports sciences.
As the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University, we congratulate all our faculty members and students who presented papers at the conference and wish them continued success.
