Kerem Dede, a student in the Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University, brought great pride to our university by becoming the Turkish Champion in the 97-kilogram weight class at the U20 Turkish Wrestling Championship held in Ankara.

Demonstrating outstanding performance throughout the championship, our student drew attention with his technical ability, physical endurance, and tactical discipline from the preliminary rounds all the way to the final match. In particular, his standing wrestling skills and ability to score points proved decisive on his path to the championship.

This significant achievement serves as a concrete demonstration of our faculty’s practice-based educational philosophy and our approach centered on athlete development. Our educational model, which integrates academic knowledge with on-field practice, contributes to our students’ ability to deliver top-level performances on national and international platforms.

We congratulate our champion athlete Kerem Dede, his coaches, and everyone who supported him, and we wish them continued success.
