We celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the Victory of 30 August—one of the greatest turning points in our nation’s struggle for independence—with pride and joy.
This great victory, achieved under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, demonstrated to the whole world our nation’s determination, resolve and passion for freedom.
As the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University, we commemorate with compassion, gratitude and respect all our martyrs and veterans—above all Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms—who bequeathed to us an independent homeland.
